Learn moreDunstable, Massachusetts · Middlesex County, MA
Dunstable is a genuinely small, rural town on the New Hampshire line whose original 1656 township once covered 200 square miles, including what's now Nashua, New Hampshire -- today it's just 16.7 square miles, with a single numbered route running through it.

Route 113 is the only numbered route through Dunstable, passing the Little Red Schoolhouse along the way, and the 1909 Sarah R. S. Roby Town Hall and the 1831 Dunstable Evangelical Congregational Church anchor a town center that's stayed small and rural. Blanchard Hill, a 39-acre conservation area that was once a local ski resort, gives the town one of its few real elevation changes.
Rural and farm-property cleanouts make up a good share of the work here given how lightly developed Dunstable still is, alongside general residential remodel and moving debris. Any digging -- a well, a septic system, a new driveway on a larger lot -- needs a Dig Safe locate first.

Route 113 runs directly from Lowell through Tyngsborough into Dunstable, about a 25-minute drive; US-3 passes about two miles to the east.
